No I didn't post anything about it, but this is what I did. I got some flat bar steel from Home Depot and found some tabs on the bumper and on the vehicle that were not used. Cut it to apply outward pressure at the bottom of the bumper and drilled holes in the bar for the small bolts.

I have some pictures somewhere, but I'll have to find them. I'd pull on the bottom of your bumper a bit and see if that outward pressure would help you as well.

When people talk GTRs and cars in the 10 sec range they refer to it as "street bike territory" but right now it seems the Vortech kit puts our cars closer to BMX territory. Bummer. All kidding aside, I appreciate your honesty and neutrality in your posts. I'm sure you will get the HP up and the wheel hop solved too which should yield much better times. I was thinking a properly built BRZ with a tuned Vortech kit should be in the 12s, not 14s. Maybe wishful thinking but not too far fetched.

Keep us all posted..great work!!
Stock rear sway here. I'm thinking an adjustable sway on full hard for the strip would help.

Track conditions could have played into it as well. A stock G8 GT has published 1/4 mile times of 13.8. The one we had out there just had a cold air intake, but the best it could run was 13.94.

I don't think we're going to see many people break into the 12s without good tires, suspension, smaller pulley, and e85.

I honestly was hoping for 13.5-13.6. Haven't put it back on the dyno so I don't know where it stands vs the old compressor.

The trap speed is more in line with a ~13.7s car, which is impressive in its own right. I feel as though the Vortech kit wasn't made for drag racing though.

Maybe we can get a twin screw on this vehicle and do the comparisons all over again. =)

I don't think we're going to see something in the 12's until one of the SCs (or even a new tune for the current SC) makes about 300whp. Though I'd love to be proven wrong!!

yea. I think 280whp should hit high 12's (12.8-12.9) just a guess though. Hopefully that can be achieved with a smaller pulley, and maybe E85?

I don't know why I didn't attempt using launch control out there. Guess it just slipped my mind.

However when we first installed the supercharger we were playing with launch control and there was no wheel hop at all.

I don't know if VHT Trackbite can have a negative effect under these conditions. I'm sure others could chime in.

Launch on clean cement vs VHT treated track?

If 300whp can be reached BY ANYONE on 91 with a smaller pulley, they have my business hands down. Of course, I think we'll see that in probably a year or so from now :P if not sooner.

That was my next question..if you had launch control installed. I guess that's in the list for next time.

Went through some more of the backlog. Found these

Kinda late but showing the difference between the 3.6 pulley on the old blower, and the 3.125 used by Perrin in their 10 psi R&D. For reference the upgraded blowers use a 3.48 pulley.

The belt used on the old 3.6 pulley and new 3.48 pulley is the same. It carries a US part no of K060975. It is a standard size and can be found at local places for 22 pounds

Sounds good. Then we all get to dyno on your freshly installed wife allowed dyno right?

I would love to see pictures of this. My bumper is still not fitting perfectly on the driver side where the washer fluid, intercooler piping, and fog light have to live happily together.

Your 0-60s will improve with better tires. I have not busted out the stop watch and tried the old tires, but I swear i am hooking up better and prolly faster on my NT01s than I was on street rubber.
