Your right on the money. Except he wants 1200 for the work. Replace from bumper recondition my rim and replace a arm. Seems steep.

You can fix the bumper yourself for a complete professional look for $50. Source a new rim yourself via craigslist. There are ways to get it repaired fairly inexpensively.

If this is a habit for you to swerve, I would suggest that you break it. Break it now. Your odds of survival are much higher if you can keep the car under control and slow down as much as possible. I have heard one too many stories of people swerving for one G.D. deer only to end up in a box for it. It is never worth it. My dad knew a guy that after his last day at work before retirement, swerved to avoid a deer on the way home. His truck went off the road and rolled. He survived the accident only to die of a heart attack as a result.

That said, I am glad to hear you are okay. Good luck getting everything back into spec.

BTW, squirrels make for good practice. If you do it right, they get out of the way every time. Almost everytime anyway.

You gotta love these people who "hate deer with a passion". The experts say you should "find your passion," and gosh darn it, these people have really gotten the message. They are committed to putting their hearts and minds towards their personal development. With that kind of attitude, nothing can stop them. Deer haters, I salute you!

Yep.

Don't be afraid of the deer. Be afraid of the tree you'll hit avoiding it.

Also, if you're on a motorcycle don't hit the brakes. Pin the throttle:

Spend more time hating soccer moms in SUVs "with a passion". I guarantee, they are 100 times more likely to fuck up your ride than wildlife are.

Considering I was doing 25 when I hit the curb, and completely fucked the entire suspension at the wheel that hit, you might want to get it towed to the repair shop.

I think the point of the story is the nannies SHOULD be used for every day driving so when your confidence in your driving is at 10 and then "something comes out of NOWHERE" this doesn't happen.
