I do. My insurance company covers the car with no problems. I ran over some un-avoidable debris dropped from a dump truck with my bagged 2008 R32 with many... Many engine/brake/suspension mods and very expensive wheels... They covered it without a hiccup. I even brought up my frame notch and the adjuster didn't care. USAA is awesome.

Insurance in Ontario is a huuuuuuuuge fucking ripoff.

I am with TD currently, but I will be switching soon to another company (I get better rates through discounts from my employer - plus the guys im switching to are cool with mods).

With TD, there are pretty much no mods allowed. It is fucking stupid, but if you want to get insurance with them, that is how it is. NOT telling them is basically fraud.

Saying "who is stupid enough to tell them" is retarded. Sure, if you never have to make a claim you will probably get by with no issues. But if and when you need them you are FUCKED

Ask them if downsizing to 16" wheels in the winter falls into their "modified" category.

Yeah that one crossed my mind too but only after I had already hung up the phone! Wonder if installing all season tires would count as modifying.. BRZ only comes with summers...

Insurance in Ontario is f'd up in general. Such a money grab and little to no flexibility when it comes to things such as mods. We pay such a pretty penny for it too which kills me.
