I have no way to check the oil temp for a before and after with the Perrin oil cooler I have sitting waiting to be installed. If I did I'd post my numbers.

So yes, the 'temporary' location was too close to the hood for air flow

These pics are not yet finished, I will make it all straight etc

Here is what I did to the oil cooler today, welding courtesy of guy across the street, tomorrow I mess with ducts and fans and the like, paint it and post pics of it finished

I can do alot of things, but cutting a hole will not likely prove as one of my strengths

Great find tho thanks! It needs to happen now. I will play with a lil fan I got and see if it does anything or its time to open 'er up!

here is a pic of old location and another of clearance with strutbar

I agree with you 100% and the right thing to do was to buy more line, make a bracket and tuck it in front of the passenger front wheel.

But it will never leak.

having it infront of FMIC = no good, I want my IC as cold as possible, not hovering about 200F!

I have some more data for you. Over the course of 25 minutes I did twelve 3rd gear pulls from 2700 RPM to 8000 RPM on my Full Blown kit with no cooling modifications. My peak oil temp was 131C or 268F according to EcuTek. Ambient temp was in the 60s.

That's hot for a 60° ambient day!
