Door Speaker Vibration
When I purchased my FR-S I went for the upgraded Pioneer audio system, but have not made any other modifications to the car. Whenever I listen to music with any bass frequency above about 20 volume, the passenger and driver door speakers vibrate the door panel so much that the bass frequency is inaudible.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? And since it is a Toyota installed stereo, would this be covered under warranty? |

My car does the same thing. I'm going to have them try and fix it next time I go in.

Mine rattles pretty good after 40, occasionally on loud songs around 35. Not at 20. I usually switch from Feel to Hear to get the vibration to go away.

+1 to matting the switches, but also...
Take off the door panel and remove the weird white plastic rattle boxes inside your metal door skin. I have no idea why Subaru (I'm assuming Subaru because a similar white plastic rattle box was present in my 2008 STI) puts these in the doors, but they are annoying and useless. Not my picture, but it shows the white plastic rattle box below the yellow plug:

The white plastic looks like a ventilation flap so mold doesn't grow in your door and moisture doesn't seep into the cabin. Removing it would probably allow the latter to happen.

The moisture barrier (plastic bag that's "glued" on with the black goopy stuff) does that. I'm inclined to believe that the plastic thing is there for added "structure," however useful that plastic piece can be.

![]() Moisture still gets trapped in that bag from experience, I still think it's some sort of ventilation. |
