Stock is 6 psi, there is also a 10psi pulley. Perrin has a 14 psi one, but it might be a one-off. That's all I've heard so far.

octane limited
So. Biggest pulley got me 239.5whp and 190tq at 1500 feet altitude on 91 gas at 8.5psi, will post pics when I get home. I didn't have a tune for the medium pulley, but it got me 9.1 psi at same altitude so that the setup still has more to go. My limiting factor wasn't air, heck I can make 12 or 14psi, right now, tho it's only usable boost below red line without fuel that is more dense for my tuning needs. For those of us who are tuning for optimal operation at red line, I'm seeing detonation at higher rpms with my fuel at my altitude over my current boost level...still, next i will get perrins tune so this is the conservative setup from Vortech. I would be surprised if this number will change by more than a few percent, is the right number for what I am building, which needs to be able to take a beating on the track in triple digit heat. 250hp is a realistic target for me at 1500 feet on pumpgas at 9psi. That leaves room for mis shifts and oover boosting.Im not far off from where I can feel like im done. Can 250 be had at nominal cost from whet Im at? Those of you who want to push the limit can as more timing, more boost, is added, but for me without a way to bleed off pressure near redline or better gas, this isnt bad for a start.and pursue more power than i likely will without risking loss of my Vortech warranty. Surely you guys with 93 @ sea level may see few extra horses With time and more aggressive tune, and using the available air, perhaps e85 is on the menu for me after all. I don't see me going past 12 psi in the end that's pushing it for me, im already content where I am knowing this has allot of safety right where it is at. Future plans in life include testing a boost controller for more kick in the pants down low. Im not sure I want to try and use all 14psi. That m will mean more tire, and more budget over all. But it can be done. You can bet e85 will be played with, hello Visconti. Flex fuel with this kit is worth flying @Visconti into Phx.how many hp on e85 at 12 psi? How much at 14? 239.5 ok for my starting baseline

Visconti has noted that this kit doesn't make any discernable power between 91 and 93. He also mentioned that the 10 psi pulley didn't make much more power.
Where did you dyno it? What other mods do you have, power wise? What type of dyno? Also, if you're getting detonation up high on the conservative tune from Vortech... you might want to hold off on the Perrin. Every Perrin Vortech dyno I've seen has knock up high. Sorry gem, hopefully with a boost controller you can return to a safe boost level while keeping the low end. Gem, what were your IAT's like at the top end with the smaller pulleys? |

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30008 There are three different cars in that thread. Notice the difference in the smoothness of power delivery in the higher RPMs between stock and the PVK (Perrin Vortech Kit). I think @Pete got the Perrin Vortech. Not sure if he ever ended up dynoing it, though. Never saw the results. |

Here's Pete's Dyno from that thread.
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...8&postcount=54 So you are suggesting that any dip in the tune (such as 6600 7100) is a knock? And that is discernable from just looking at a dyno chart? |

You can notice that the stock dynos don't really have these. |
