I'm almost certain 3.5" minimum height won't be low enough once I lower the car (1") and add the lip (1"). Trying to find a low-profile aluminum 1.5-2 ton jack that's not made in China makes my pockets hurt. Probably going to go with steel again and less than 3" minimum saddle height.

Yes it is; also 1 year warranty unlike other CM products. I did my research last time around...this time I might just get the best value I can get while still under ~3" saddle height.

Problem for us is that our cars have a long overhang. Hoping for a cheap alternative to race ramps and a less ghetto alternative to my current setup with 2x8's hah.
No, I know someone who has them though; admittedly he doesn't own an FR-S. He's driving a '13 Evo so...

I use Harbor Freight Jack stands for the grooves and Costco Jack and OEM Scissor Jack, have to use both jacks since main jack won't clear lip kit...

Hm, that actually sounds like a great idea if the renting prices are reasonable. Whereabouts is this place?

It's $30 an hour for a lift with tool access. Pretty good deal if you have a big job and willing to make the drive

Oh what?? I used to live out in that area; how did I miss this place? /rhetorical
I was actually out there at the 5C colleges a week ago, so the drive isn't terrible. I'll definitely look into these guys if I have a huge project to do. Thanks for the suggestion!

I bought this jack - BEST I've ever owned. Goes from 2-5/8" low to 23-3/4" high. Just note - It does weigh damn near 100lbs.

Thats the one I have. Works great on the FR-S. I also have a set of 3 ton jacks from Harbor Freight. For 15$ can't beat them.
