Figured I would give an update. I got the 11psi Tial BOV spring from LJ last week, and the car is no longer having any idle or stalling issues due to the BOV opening up under max vacuum conditions. I also installed the Greddy Evo3 and unless it gets louder after awhile, I think that with the turbo acting as a muffler the sound is not as loud as I figured it was going to be. The provided basemap is far from perfect, but it allows you to drive the car until you get it tuned. I am now really looking forward to the FL meet this weekend, and then getting it on the local Dynojet for some dyno numbers and videos. Then I will decide where to take the car to get it tuned or if bringing someone here to tune the car is the best option.

Small tweak to the idle control table will stop the stalling

Take some videos

If it's a brand new Evo 3 - it will get quieter as carbon builds up inside. That was my experience with it.

I think the Evo3 is probably one of the best choices for a Turbo configuration since it's wider (2.75") than most of the other catbacks out there right now. You'll probably want to open up the rest of the turbo back though.

The Evo3 sounds really nice on a turbo FRS. There's also a 2.75" front pipe available to mate with it.

That is exactly why I chose it. I didn't like any of the 3" options, and this was my favorite of the 70mm options. No regrets on the purchase. We will see if it drones on the 400+ mile Interstate trip to Orlando I am taking tomorrow.

Well that's the weird part, its ebay stuff...

So I am not vouching for longevity, quality, or anything, all I can say is I installed 1 and it fits, it's not perfect, but it fits.

Can you expand on this? Was it just the idle? or was AFR out of whack, down on power?

The idle issue I had was not tune related. It was BOV related. The BOV is so close to the MAF that if it opens at idle and sends swirling air at the MAF sensor when it isn't expecting it, it caused the idle to fluctuate to try and adjust. When I removed the vacuum reference from the BOV so it always stayed closed, the car drove great. The AFRs are all plenty safe and it looks like LJ targeted 11.5 for full throttle and boost conditions. The car is definitely not down on power. The improvements will be made in off idle performance, throttle tip in, and fine tuning the AFRs and ignition timing for my specific car and mods. The driveability of the basemap is not perfect, but it definitely isn't unsafe.

Got to dyno the car this weekend. There was no magic pixie dust on my car. I will post the results once I have the files, so I can make some graphs. It was during the dyno shootout at Titan Motorsports open house though, so I don't have an air/fuel or boost plot to go with the graphs.
