Next mod will be the Perrin Inlet Tube/ Perrin Cold Air Intake. Brings roughly 10hp and cleans the engine up nice and deletes the snorkel that's on there now.

I've seen Perrin say it brings a good 4 whp untuned, but I haven't seen anyone do a tuned CAI + Inlet for the Perrin. I'll be doing that once I get my Header and my over/downpipe from Nameless. The design is outstanding and if you take your car to meets, I promise you will get comments on it. Probably the best aesthetically looking intake unlike the Blitz which looks like a fleshlight or messed up R2D2.

That or you can be a sucker and buy the big plastic box that has a TRD sticker on it and pay 500 dollars.

I went with the Injen for the time being because I love how it looks had the fewest complaints (that I could find), was priced right, and I didn't have to remove my front bumper to install it.

I don't think that I have noticed any significant difference in performance but I can tell you that I have had zero CELs or idling issues. Honestly, the HP difference between it and my old K&N drop in I had would be so minimal it would be within the error/correction limit on any dyno.

Still, it cleaned up the engine bay, looks nice, sounds fantastic and got rid of the noise generator! All plusses but you won't here me say it was worth the money for performance gains because it isn't.

Scott

I think that's the most realistic review I've seen of an Injen. Bravo, good sir.

With everything I've heard from WRX guys and their intakes, I really think its more beneficial to just get a different filter and leave the stock box. They all said on their boxer engines that the stock intake was better than anything aftermarket, and most required a tune. I remembering wanting an Injen ram intake for my SC430, but it actually decreased performance because it got hotter than stock. Isn't the point of them to get more cold air? How does that happen with the piping they use and their placement in the engine. Save money and get an inlet hose and filter.

You should ask what the max SAFE HP gain intake is.

Other than Perrin, does anyone else make a decent silicone tube for the twins?
