Which intake did you get?

I'm thinking about investing into the injen intake, but want to know if anyone has any issues with theirs, or regrets their purchase. I have heard that the intake has made the torque dip a little more noticable, but other than that, I havent seen many complaints about the it.

If you have a different intake, I wouldn't mind hearing your input on it!

I honestly didn't go with any of the intake systems. I stuck with a TRD drop in since the stock one is super efficient. Strangely, some systems even LOSE power. If anything, the perrin seems like a good one. otherwise, the other systems tend to be in the engine bay and eliminate the purpose of "cold air"

Oh and might I add that the torque dip usually is there with intake systems, but with drop in, it seems the gain is all across the board even though it isn't much. you can find this in many threads.

An intake really does not make the torque dip more noticeable, its the fact the AFR is altered which can lead to the engine performing differently in loosing power. In the order of which I would take would be the following:

Perrin CAI
FA20Club CAI (much like the perrin but cheaper, but it does not blend as well as the perrin)
Greddy/aFe Intake

These are the only I would choose. They are have proven to make a small bump in power. The Greddy or aFe(they are both exactly the same) are a bit easier to install. The 2 CAI require the removal of the front bumper. Its not hard, but the side markers are a PITA to remove which you will have to do in order to get the bumper off.

Either way if you want the most out of the intake, plan on getting a tune to insure your AFR and performance are in line. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I am in new to performance cars, modifying, and adding bolt-ons.

Forgot to mention, I have the aFe (the perrin was not when I got my intake. I wanted something that was safe, would remove the noise generator, provide a small bump in power and something that would blend in :))

I've been running it for a few months now. Absolutely love it.

I think sticking with the stock intake with a drop-in filter is your best bang for your buck.

If you wanted some bling under the hood I would get the Perrin Intake.

I'm happy with my Perrin setup. The car seems a touch more lively and adds an aggressive note. Took me a bit to get used to the sound change, it's not subtle at all.

Perrin makes a great intake. It looks clean, sounds amazing, and runs beautifully.

I'm going with the TRD filter and Perrin inlet tube. That's about $170.
