K&N Drop-In filter for me. ~5hp gain for $40 shipped. As opposed to 6-10hp for $3-400.

For me it's the intake sound more than anything (same with a catback), though now that I have CAI, over pipe, test pipe, catback AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, a tune it's night and day vs when I had just K&N + catback.

If I had to do it over again, thats what I would have gone with. Drop in filter with inlet tube to remove the dumb noise generator

I can tell you right now those claims are BS. I picked the Perrin because of the design and it gets hot as hell where I live so my filter stays in the bumper.

It may reach this power gain in certain situations but it achieves it by modifying the a/f ratio which isn't recommend.

Which drop in would you recommend? I was looking at works drop in filter and saw a lot of positive.

So far the works filter is showing no better results on independent dynos than other filters but costs nearly double the price of most other filters. You would be better off with a different filter and pocket the rest of the money for another part.
