I have the H Tech and they ride very nicely on the stock struts and shocks. I would stay away from the S Tech though.

Here's a nice list depending on your price range:
RCE Yellow: well reviewed and ideal for handling, only 20mm of drop though
Swift "BRZ spec" springs: reputable manufacturer with 25mm drop

Eibach Pro Kit: most common sets sold, only ones that come with bumpstop besides RCE
H&R Sport and Tein H Tech: both nice drops and comfortable ride

Hard to go wrong with any of the above just depends on what you are looking for.

Koni's are on sale this month also so even if you don't want to replace them right now you can get a good price on them and put them away for later when you need them.

Every thing Joeboxer said, springs figure $250-$300ish & up

shocks figure $800ish and up for cut n gut shocks from koni
thats already $1050-$1100 & up

if you can wait, IMHO nothing like a matched setup, clean non gutty or cutty for a few hundred more.. I'd be on this: nothing wrong with reusing the oe bumpstops or upper mounts for a DD, and the koni yellows are pretty good if you ask me, better than oe

http://www.ground-control-store.com/...ion.php?II=931
keep it simple and 'base'
if $1350 is over the budget cap, then I'd probably look at the eibach sport coils for a more lively character or like an rce yellow or hr sport for more grippyness outta a set of coils with oe dampers, tho I think the oe dampers work best with the oe coils, other setups work, but still feel a bit under shocked/over sprung to me

Would love to try the GC street kit myself, the Tein street basis is probably what i will end up with though if i ever change mine out. I can get it for just a little more than the koni's alone.

The problem with question like this is that there will be as many answers as there are posters.

My personal thoughts on the subject, if you're not racing, want to keep some ground clearance while keeping the front end off the bump stops, go with RCE yellows. I'm doing the same.

As for dampers, I've ran Koni's in the past and liked them a lot. But I'd rather something that's easier to rebuild and I have no need for adjustment. Personally I'm waiting for Bilstein to come out with a set and RCE to match them to their springs.

The cut and gut is the main reason i haven't ordered the Koni's already, they are hard to pass up on sale though.

Agreed! But they should be on sale again this time next year.

Ditto, I want the Konis as well for my Eibach pro kit springs at some point. I am waiting though as car feels pretty darn good right now.

Are S. Techs really that bad?

I went with the RCE Yellows coupled with their sway bars. 25mm hollow front and 19mm hollow rear. I didn't realize how much body roll the car does have until I did the sway bars. Very good setup at a good price.

I'm going this route as well, I went with Eibach Sportlines because I was looking for a decent drop.

I would stick with a manufacturer that includes new bumpstops.
