Nice which series are you running? Let me know if they are noisy as hell for your car. I had the XP12/XP10s on my Evo IX and they were crazy noisy driving around town but were my favorite pads at the track.

I have the XP8s and they were so noisy I had to change them back to stock after my track day. CSG says they quiet down considerably after you bed them in properly but I never got a chance to do that with my set.

Plan on bedding them in properly. How do you do this at an HPDE event? Aren't the people behind you going to be crazy mad that you are stop-n-go on the track just to bed your pads in?

I dunno if I'll be able to adjust to a stock-motored FR-S. My 550i boat easily hits 120 on the straight, and on my best day (when the brakes overheated so I didn't slow down as much) I hit 130 once.

Nice driving BTW. I notice it got unsettled on the bypass. Is that just my impression or did that happen? I want a car that settles quickly there.

This is not the car for you if your main thrill is straight-line acceleration.

I cannot comment on the settling as this was the first time I have driven bypass config. From talking to everyone at the track, it is natural to get unsettled there. That's the point of the bypass and the cylone = elevation changes to unsettle the suspension and wonky fun factor.

I must say I prefer the bypass more than the cyclone.

Lol I usually bed my brakes on the street on a open road with no traffic. You can probably bed them in on your initial lap or on the road going into thunderhill lol.

you can bed in the brakes on the street a few days before the event....basically a few hard stops from high speeds will do it..on my racer I don't even do that....its not street legal...so I change the pads and hit the track....takes about a session or two and its all good

I picked it up today. Bye bye 550i. Acceleration is lacking. Eventually I will turbo or supercharge it. Steering, braking, and handling are divine. The back end wants to dance. OMZ!
