Should be a good combo - would love to hear your feedback once you have the nameless combo up front, but at this point I'm leaning towards the Perrin OP/catted FP just to keep it all together.

If nothing else, maybe we can compare the two combinations at a future meet up.

the reason i'm choosing nameless is because it is 1 piece. thus less issues with leaks because there is less gasket etc... in the end i think the gains will be the same but i know for a fact i want a resonator in the front pipe, even if the catback is resonated. i was fully catless and unresonated on my sti, NOT doing that with an NA car

i should have that within a month or so, just gotta buy my coils first

LOVING the subtle rumble from the resonated version.

I ordered mine on Saturday the 16th and it showed up Wednesday.

Never heard of a leak with the Perrin. There is only 1 gasket on the Perrin where the mid pipe meets the front pipe. The other two seals on the Perrin are gasketless V-Band Clamps which seal very well.

Ordered mine back in November (Black Friday) and received it in January.

He's referring to the Overpipe/Frontpipe combo. Nameless sells this as one long pipe from header to catback. Perrin has two separate components, keeping it similar to the stock configuration (albeit with a much better flow).

I'm going with Perrin just to keep everything in my system the same, and I figure it'll be easier to do a driveway install of the Perrin components on ramps/jackstands, whereas the Nameless (I presume) will need more clearance via a lift since it's a longer piece that you'll need to leverage. Someone with experience installing it can feel free to correct me.

i never said it leaked, i said that by having one piece you eliminate the POSSIBILITY of it not making a seal.

as for the install i'm no worried about clearance to be honest, i'll be doing it in the driveway as well.

in the end its the same shit, i just want a helmholtz resonator in my system. in the end its the header that will make or break the power here.

Definitely - you can't go wrong with either of them in my opinion. As for the Nameless install needing more clearance, that's just an assumption of mine - I could be wrong, but based on the pictures of the pipe and where it needs to snake into, it looks like a lift would be your best bet, but again, I haven't done it myself so someone with experience, please feel free to keep me honest here.

The Nameless pipe is less expensive than separate front and over pipes too. I would expect you'd need a lot of space under the car to snake the front of it over the cross member. I'd ask Nameless before you install just to be sure, would suck to find out your jack and stands don't go high enough after pulling stuff apart.

Just hesitating likely in the same way as you. I KNOW I want it I just KNOW I'll regret (temporarily) shelling out the cash at this point in time.

Yep, I love it. Installed it yesterday and it is exactly what I wanted as far as sound goes. The quality is fantastic.

i have access to a lift so i'm not worried much about the over pipe/fornt pipe to be honest, at most i'll jack the motor up if i do it on the ground.

now for the good stuff... i just got rid of my greddy, and instead put on a perrin NOT-resonated catback. all i can say is holy****. difference is unbelievable in sound. perrin is almost stock sounding to me at this point, SO QUIET and zero drone/cabin noise but it has a very nice tone from what i could hear when ripping under bridges. install was easy, just have to mess with the v-bands to align the tips just right.

now i'm sorry for not my usual picture quality, hands were too dirty to grab my camera so i used hipstergram follow me @comrad

greddy before i polished her up:

perrin:
