My worked over 3.2 was a dream... I actually bs'ed over the idea of snagging one and dumping it In. Too bad with my R32, I had near 5k in tuning and n/a build parts and it only made 245awhp at the wheels.

Amazing motor, actually reliable aside from the belt tensioner, amazing wookie growl, but doesn't take to anything other than boost at all really. That and the oem plastic intake manifold blows the big one.

You going to do it yourself or have a shop? What's your budget?

Less expensive to turbo the fa20 plus those 220 - 290 whp is wheel hp... the 3.2 is 260 crank... so between 200 and 220 wheel

There is a 2009 Audi 3.2 FSI engine locally for sale for ~1700$
3.2 FSI, 3.2 FSI quattro CALA 2007- 3,197 cc (195 cu in) 24v V6 265 PS (195 kW; 261 hp) @6500 330 N·m (243 lb·ft) @3000-5000

pretty sexy numbers at a bargain price. how much is a FA20 worth?

More or less Blasphemous than LS swap

If you're going the SC route, then there are (i think) two other companies making them for the 86

If the 3.2FSI is anything like the 3.6 VR6 the biggest issue you'll run into with a swap like that is making the immobilizer work, or getting rid of it. Even swapping them into other VAG cars is a pain to get around the immobilizer, I couldn't imagine trying to make it all work in a toyota/subaru chassis.

Before you suggest a standalone, keep in mind the complexity of the engine (direct injection, variable valve timing, etc) and how much getting all that working will cost in tuning time.

You'll exceed the cost of boosting the FA20 in parts alone for this swap, nevermind any labour/tuning/etc.
