I don't much care for the look, but if it is TVS based it will be a good unit.

Can't wait for further details. Also, I don't care how it looks, I drive with the hood closed and I don't hard park so function is priority.

Realistically looking, if this is made by TRD JP, don't expect to come out in US
The car is racing in the US so I think it HAS to be on sale in the US per the rules of the sanctioning body.

They are running an FR-S, meaning they have to sell it for the FR-S. GT-86 ≠ FR-S in this case.

They can still charge whatever the fuck they want and it doesn't have to be CARB (Cali) legal.

Brakes don't have to be OEM, forced induction does per the rules.

To limited marketing numbers. Yeah it happens all the time to all the companies, that doesn't mean they'll mass produce them.

Again, you can YouTube or search the article. They have stated that they went to TRD JP to make this sc kit. I know this, I was there when they were getting interviewed... or maybe I was high or tired from that long trip (LA to LV) & misheard it. Who knows

TRD USA should just make a motor swap kit and engine with a 3sgte, 4agze, or even a 2jz.... hell, it would save more money, yield more power and not be too bad on the weight distribution... Toyota should have just stuck with their very own engines... more reliable

Go for it. Tada-san won't be pissed. He'll be happy you're doing something to the car more than keeping it stock. Who's stopping you from doing that swap?

Hahah yea i know, i personally think that either the 3sgte or a turbo 4ag would be a great swap as far as keeping the weight distributed and power potential. But, i know thats what he wants, that was his sole purpose for making this car so cheap and so bare...

Ah... no. He have stated make this car "your" car. He was excited to hear when Orido swap v8 into the 86. He doesn't care if you make this car drag king or well balance touge racer. All it matters is buy this car & mod it to your taste.

Sure, I don't doubt the part is being developed and built in Japan. Never disputed that. All I am saying is they will have to sell some examples here. I wouldn't be surprised if they offer less than 250 of these for sale in North America.

I NEVER said anything about who was R&Ding it or how many would exist. Just the some unknown amount will be available here.
