Directly, no. 200whp would be around 235hp at the crank.
However, he's looking at the delta between the two numbers. 140whp is very low. There's no way this car has a 30% drive line loss. Think around 15 to 20. So let's say 17%. 200 * 0.83 = 166whp. This is right around what most stock dynos have seen. So let's determine the percentage difference between Bullet's dyno and our number. 166 / 140 = 1.186 Now we adjust their final number. 200 * 1.186 = 237whp Finally we remove the driveline loss. 237 / 0.83 = 286hp at the crank (give or take a few) We don't have 100% confimation that this was without the intercooler, but if it wasn't then 300hp at the crank is concievable with an intercooler and E85. And is with a torque curve that looks like it came from a big V8. |

Given a net gain of ~60 whp from baseline, that should be no less than 260 crank. How much boost are they running?

I think Draco-Rex explanation is spot on. I'd say 240-245 crank HP is where its at.

So... the magic number we should be looking for is 250whp.

That might explain the 18 wives and 26 cars.

SO much speculation. I think this kit is going to make a lot of us happy. You can always modify the pulley size, tune mapping, etc. I really like the linear power curve and the feeling of full boost right away is attractive. I'd love 270-280 at the wheels, but I'd be happy with 230-250. Anyways, sorry for adding another meaningless post to this thread.

Even if the peak number is not very high, I expect this kit to provide the kind of torque curve that will be much faster & more fun on the street. I haven't found that PD blowers provide a huge bump at the top of the rpm range, and that is where peak HP numbers are made. It is the entire rev range before the top that is dramatically improved.
All of the guys looking for a high TQ number relative to HP will get closer to what they want with this kit I believe. |

I want 3 BRZs. One all-motor N/A. One supercharged. One turbocharged.

This thread has just gotten funny. Based on original ETA, and lack of producing this unit for everybody.
I went out and bought the Vortech. You snooze you loose. No regrets |
