Same here.
The key trunk release button delay I can live with, but the dash button delay is just frustrating.

yup... delay here too. I rarely use the button in the car, maybe twice, but each time I had to hold it down.

Never quite understood why the Aussies and Brits call it a boot. A bonnet I can understand.

I don't mind it on the dash/key but I wish the button underneath the trunk opened it instantly

Can we Lock our trunks? I would like to be able to put something in the trunk and have it be secure even if someone breaks into my car. Every other car I've owned with a trunk had this ability.

Yup. If you open your trunk and look to the left. There is a little button that makes it so you have to use the key to open it.

Edit, just realized this may not be what you are talking about, since you can still fold the seats down (I think).

Well there you go! I didn't even know the boot would open itself.
I assumed the button on the dash just unlocked it so I could open it with the switch back there. Same with the button on the keyless thingy because the 2 sec delay meant it never operated it. Barely 1 sec on the dash button.

Now I understand[?] that being in the proximity unlocks it, same as the doors and those 2 buttons operate and release the lock.

Thanks guys!

My truck button takes a good couple seconds of pressure to finally open.

Unlike many cars that allow you to release and fold down the seatback from inside the cabin, the only way to do this in ours is via two straps inside the trunk - one on each side. So if you hit the little button inside the trunk to disengage the electric release (key fob and dash button) the only way into the trunk is with the key or a crowbar.

You can tell the seatback is secured because if you pull on the straps and then go inside the cabin and look, you'll see two red buttons have popped up at either corner indicating the latch is disengaged. Just pull the seatback forward and slam it back and they'll re-latch (the red will disappear).

Oh and yeah, both my fob and the dash button require you hold for a couple of seconds. It's a little annoying, but I understand why and it would be more annoying to accidentally pop the trunk when you don't want to.

I don't have a button or a switch or anything on my trunk. Is this cause of my carbon fiber?

Wait, so you can only fold the seats down through the trunk? This is good.
