TC turning back on after turning it off

So i decided to turn off TC on my DD to school. i wanted to see if i can noticed a diffrence. My DD is 3mile trip city/cruise I barely drive faster then 40mph. Well after turning TC off (light is on) and after driving maybe .2miles the light will turn off, whic means TC is on?

Just wondering if its normal

Page 215 of the BRZ manual (not sure on the FRS one) explains the Trac/VSC in more detail, but if you're just disabling Trac, it will automatically come back on after you go over 31 mph/50 kph. The only way around this is to disable both Trac and VSC by holding down the Trac button for more than 3 seconds while the vehicle is stopped.
