Save your money, as much as I love Perrin's stuff, it doesn't change the fact that intakes are rarely going to net you much horsepower if any. A lot of companies show significant gains, but don't believe every dyno you see (though if I will believe any comapny's dyno, it would be Perrin). Spend your money elsewhere for better return on investment.
My vote goes to saving up for a tune and exhaust.

Injens is pretty pricey also. It smooths out the air flow which compliments the rest of the other mods the car has. Perring reported saying a silicone tube/CAI added a lot power with the header back system. A difference which IMO is worth it for the price you pay for the CAI/tube if you have a header or cat back already. A syms racing intake is 1300 not including tax/shipping. Gruppe M's x Revo intake is 2000. Arcs Ram intake is 650, Injens is 350 - 400 I think which from what some people say that leans out the AFR too much which is bad for your car. So 450 for Perrins CAI/Tube isnt bad at all when your paying for quality from a respected company like them. Go ahead buy another intake that will continue to suck up hot air while people who decide to go with the silicone tube/CAI get better performance and quality for what they spend. Airaids loses power, Greddy/AFE add 3-4 whp reported by customers/shop dyno's. If you have a header back I am sure it would make a huge difference along with the CAI/tube. They compliment each other very nicely. I think Perrin said with the Header back the Silicone tube added 4 whp when combined with the CAI also. Which IMO thats 140 dollars well spent. |

I would much rather have Perrins CAI than other intakes on the market. Just knowing it is breathing in cool air unlike other intakes on the market that suck in hot air from the engine. Also knowing they dont get gains from just leaning out the AFR like other intakes. People bitching about having to take off the bumpoer are just lazy it takes less than 10 minutes to do. If you have a header back system then get the CAI/silicone tube. Its worth it in my eyes when you see other vendors selling intakes that cost twice as much for the same amount of power you would get with Perrins. would much rather get Perrins which adds 5 whp and can be improved with the silicone tubing. Also knowing you get cool air is a lot better for peace of mind. |

Isn't leaning out the AFR essentially what all aftermarket intakes are trying to accomplish? Unless you get a tune to go with it...?

![]() Wow, I had no idea people would spend that much money on a piece of tube with a MAF sensor mount. Enjoy. |

I don't think there is anyway I'd pay that much for a tube and filter. This CAI is so overpriced. I just hope it doesn't have issues once people start installing them so at least you are getting the cool induction sound.

Did someone say overpriced?
HKS Racing Suction Reloaded
Also If you think about it other intakes cost around 350. I can get the cai for 280 plus the silicone for 130. Lets do some math 280+130=410. So you are paying an extra 60 bucks so you can have an actual full on cai vs utilizing the stock scoop. It may be the fanboy in me but I doubt perrin put that price tag on it without some sort of reason. I would really like to see what visconti can get out of this intake hopefully one of his customers picks one up. |

Getting to the filter is as simple as removing 2 bolts, and loosening two clamps for clean and reoil. I am very satisfied with it, but price wise, it is not for everyone. If aesthetics isn't your thing, then go drop in filter and a tube. The aFe Takeda is probably one of the best looking intakes for the car. My butt dyno feels the power pickup from just using it for a few days. I do intend on getting a tune when I get my header + headerback installed to really feel the gains. |

Stock dyno pull. Stock dyno pull with silicone tube. Stock dyno pull with cai. Stock dyno pull with drop in filter. Stock dyno pull with cai and silicone tube. Stock dyno pull with drop in filter and silicone tube. ^ that alone all on the same day so the conditions are the same will bring valid data to the customer base and will help us know exactly what we are getting out of their products.
