LOLZ while I HATE the brand scion, I could give a fuck about class. If you even worry about that then there are other issues. Someone without class would be driving a 99 civic with GT-R badges....

Too much to go off on, needn't a content person worry.

Toyota created the Scion brand mainly to market to teens. I guess teens buy Scion FRs and slightly older guys buy Subaru BRZ. But FRS or BRZ we're all brothers let's not get into who's better.

^This. If you worry about how much "class" you have, you don't have it.

And yeah, I never thought I'd be driving a Scion either haha

Exactly man, that's really the boat I'm in. At the end of the day I feel happy knowing driving a car that has been called 9/10 of a front engine Ferrari and has a better seating position than an S2000.

Those who worry have never actually had some fun with the car, the last few days, due to high amounts of gravel on the roads, I've had more fun driving my car.

Toyota thought that Scion would appeal to young people, but it hasn't worked out that way demographically. Scion doesn't really have a clear identity as a result. It's up to us to build that reputation.

As far as Subaru goes, aside from a relatively small group of people who love the WRX and know its capabilities, most people know Subaru as a family-oriented practical vehicle that's good for snowy places. Seriously, Subaru is a quality car with good engineering, but cache'? not really.

If you think about it, Scion probably sells more sports cars than any other non-luxury brand.

I didn't take Scion seriously before I heard about this car.

Now I own one.

I still don't really like the brand, I mean I pretty much hate all their other models.

Scion sells more toasters than any other kitchen appliance makers. All Scion cars look like toasters.

It's not suposed to be a classy luxury car, so that statement is partially true. The interior is specially lacking, so if you want class just buy something else. It's an entry level drivers cars ffs.

What is missing is a more modern interpretation of the old school english style coupe/roadster. A Triumph revival would certainly rock.

All that being said my money is on the Toyobarus!

I feel like any car released in that category would have to compete with the Miata (and probably wouldn't fair so well haha).

Who gives a rats ass what other people think about what you drive? Drive the car that makes YOU happy and to hell with others opinions.

I formerly drove a Porsche- got called pretentious. Drove an S4 and got hate from the EVO, M3, and STI crowd, drove a 350zr and got hate from all over the map. Got called a ricer by the civic guys when I had an SVT Focus. The point is, no matter what you drive, you can't make everyone happy. So you might as well make yourself happy and stop worrying about it.

All cars look like toasters, particularly Audis, Mercedes, Nissans, Chevrolets, Kias and Buicks. But most Subarus are toasters, that's why people like them.

My first choice was the BRZ. Then I thought about it and realized that Subaru would have never built this car alone. I bought the Scion/Toyota.

I actually have the Limited BRZ but still think the FR-S looks good in it's own right. I only got the BRZ because someone released their pre-order. I think there is nothing to fume over as people who know the cars, will know there is no difference. Also, I usually find the people who say stuff like that also drive not so cool cars. The BRZ and FR-S are both great and really it just comes down to preference...
