A friend of mine had Willwood BBK on his tC and the brake lines were too short (by a small amount not noticable by the naked eye) but they ended up stretching and breaking while he was driving.
He contacted Willwood and was given the run around and told him he would have to buy new lines and that the ones he was given were correct for his car, they refused to admit that they were too short.
Other than that one instance I haven't really heard many negative things about Willwood. Just my $.02 i guess

I wonder if these would fit under the 16" ADM GT and JDM G spec wheels?

Their calipers aren't known for being stiff. A NASCAR/brembo brake friend of mine has seen them flex like mad during testing. probably enough fr most people still though.

Same story on Subaru forums and Nissan forums (years back).

I would never, ever track a car hard that has cross drilled rotors. Not after seeing one made by a reputable manufacturer completely fail (explode into pieces) on a 951 at Road Atlanta, sending the car and driver into the wall, and driver getting medivac'ed to the hospital, thankfully making a full recovery after. The rotors hadn't showed signs of cracking after checking them after each session. Streeting with CDR's may be fine but when temperatures increase at the track, all bets are off.

That said, I'll be interested in final pricing of the Wilwoods with slotted rotors.

This. Even Porsche rotors crack and they aren't drilled, most guys replace them after a single weekend due to cracking, at least at Sebring. The hard core P car guys either run blanks, slotted or j hooks if they are running iron discs.

I don't think they are out yet. There was a name at Willwood in this thread that you can contact.

To get an idea of price, just plug in a 2004 WRX, you can compare the pieces in that kit to the one in their FRS/BRZ press release and see that they are made up of the same major components. The older WRX kit likely would work with our cars with possibly needing to flip the caliper bleed screws. Maybe they changed a bracket or two, but on the whole it can't be too far off in pricing. You can also get prices for all the different components if you drill down on the webpage.

BRZ/FR-S brakes now on Willwood's webpage

$1700-$1800 per axle

http://www.wilwood.com/BrakeKits/Bra...ion=All&whl=17

Edit - Comparing old WRX kits and these new kits according to their website, the calipers are different. The FRS/BRZ kit uses a newer "forged" caliper and is also a radial mount not axial. If true, a radial mount would allow you to go to a larger diameter 14" rotor with just adding a .56" spacer on longer caliper bolts. They have a 14" rotor that uses the same hat bolt pattern as the 12.88" rotor in the kit. That would give you more front brake torque with no other change. Probably need 18" wheels though. It would give you something to play with if there was too much rear brake bias.
