Just got back. The car was made for those back roads. Every evening, I would drop the wife and make a braai wood run. 160/180 into those bends, not a squeal, just grip. I luv this car. I still do not know where the limit is. My balls are not big enough. Now I know how a 911 driver feels. Still getting used to changing down to fifth. Also, I keep hitting the rev limiter in second. The motor spins so fast.

![]() I'm also planning a trip that way soon. I can only hazard a guess how grippy they will be with more performance orientated tyres! Thanks for scouting the route!

http://www.yokohamatire.com/tires/detail/s_drive They have a fabulously stiff sidewall and the grip in the wet is fantastic. I also got over 50000km on my last set. Knocked a pothole in Eshowe and drove on the bent rim and bubbled tyre all the way back to Stanger. |

Well based on a 195/55 VR15 (slightly odd size) which were R850 each. I reckon R950 - R1200 each depending where you go.

thats not bad... did a search on some sites and saw pricing of between 1700 and 2000 so 1200 (if it is) should be very reasonable...

For tyres best is to phone around and negotiate. You'd be amazed how flexible some places are.
