What speed have you taken your 86 too

The devil inside took over today.
Wanted to see what the car is capable of doing, put the throttle to the floor on straight road and got up to 225km/h just over 6500 rpm.
Felt as though it could have gone a little more.
Unfortunately I did not have the Sat Nav on to check true speed.
Irresponsible I know....:mad0260:

a little over 110mph... still was gaining speed rapidly but saw traffic up ahead so i slowed down. this was right after my break in. Had to see how it felt up top.

Mathewgzlz 01-03-2013 02:45 AM

My friend just bought a farm with a really really long driveway, looks very similar to the N1, hahaha :D, hit 202 kph on the GPS.

https://www.cobra.com/detail/esd-710...ta-display.cfm is just for you!

I have the older model and it has saved me a fortune - especially on Jo'burg to Durban trips... Cheap, nasty and legal! It gives you about 1.3 seconds to respond - also we only use laser in the country you just need to familiarize yourself with the laser noise. or get the fancier talking model - violently annoying in my opinion!

The 12V socket in the glovebox was such a bonus for me for using this!

Rossi, suggest you set up sprint day on your mates driveway...:party0030:

I also heard it was insane, lots and lots of nice cars there and an all round fun time, might be going this year.

Was returning back from Natal during the holidays. Average speed was between 180 - 200kph. Not proud of the speed though but had an emergency. Top speed was 205kph. Car really performs on the open road and in Natal.
