Thanks for the mention, LSxJunkie!

Cjm005, I'll second the recommendation for visiting garagejournal.com.

I think those Craftsman boxes have a cool look. I used to have some, and painted one of my benches to match -- then replaced the Craftsman stack but still painted the newer cabinet to match what had been there. So in my green garage, I've got one corner that looks like this:

In your shoes, I'd maybe give the checkerboard idea some more thought. Especially if you're planning on doing much work in the shop. It's not a pattern that's easy on the eyes (the flooring equivalent of a strobe light, in some ways), and it can also get kind of irritating when you set tools out on it or drop small parts. Still, I know there's a kind of visual history to it. But I went for something that reflected light and was consistent enough that I could find a nut when it rolled away from me.

Wow, what a difference.... Started putting the work bench and floor cabinet together. Will put up some pics later.

Man cave has started... Has to be a worthy home for the Boss and FRS.

WeatherTech has what's known as TechFloor. I never used Race Deck or TechFloor but I'm interested to update my garage even if it's small because I want to turn into a work facility. Basement isn't cutting it.

My uncles uses something similar, and he loves it. I found out that it's easier on your feet. Standing on it is much more comfortable then standing on concrete.
