Yeah but these proto test cars are always sporting mindf&^%s to throw us off, so the Toy badge mightn't mean much. Either way I hope it looks more like the concepts we've seen than this one here honestly.

I don't know if they use race gas, I don't see a reason why they should. Most cars use octane98 which is 'premium' here in Europe. Power output has to be within 5% of OEM specs.

This car will be great!
Hello to all, my first post here!
To the OP: Thank you for the update! The release of this car will be very exciting! Last time I had this kinda butterfly was the introduction of mistu evo series into the US. Honestly, I think that there is nothing to dislike about this car from an enthsiast's views; affordable, lightweight, low CoG, decent power, and reliable! I just hope I can buy one in the future! |

am sure they wont sell it in the middle east as Daihatsu!! i asked our local dealer, and they know nothing!! i asked one of the sales men, and i ended up explaining to him about the car! and educate him!!

The car is way too silent, just as that ugly Peugeot RCZ. The car needs more power. I mean, a Lotus does not have alot of power, but it is not really slow on straight line.
By the way, I am tired of Toyota vs. Scio. They will be exactly the same, only badges, which have exactl ythe same shape and size, will change. |

I'm right there with ya. It's been said over and over that they will be exactly the same with the only difference being the badges.

Get a fucking grip man. The car is there for testing. Also, in case you didn't realize, the S2000 is a 240hp, $30k car when it was still on sale. |

What people need to realize is when it comes to Japanese sports cars with a high revving, 4 banger and under 30k tag it will always be more about handling than power. Honda and Toyota followed this tradition for decades and they will never change that while other makes will continue to improve in both straight line performance and handling.

Well you are all focused on the performance part of the car, and i totally respect and dig that cuz that's the part that really matters. BUT, lets take a minute to look at the body modifications on this car from the previous prototypes that were presented to the public at events.
The back: this was totally butchered.... The new lights make it look like it has down syndrome, furthermore the modifications to the trunk are just fugly. it looks like they have already made it for north american plates. The side: it looks like they extended the trunk and the whole ass of the car a bit on the LVN model, the front was also extended a bit more (most likely to comply with the front impact rules in some countries in respect to pedestrians). The front: surprisingly untouched but still looks worse than the prototype. I would personally dump extra 2-3k if i could get a car that looks like the Prototype II, and i think that majority of the general public would do the same thing. Please note that i am not saying that i would chose the body over performance, i am just saying that the sales from a good looking sports car would be MUCH higher in today's market. so when it comes down to marketing and final production vehicles i hope Toyota makes the right decisions, cuz atm its looking pretty shitty. |
