Having used Froyo, Gingerbread, ICS, and now iOS with my company phone, I have to say I like Android better. Especially ICS. I like the customization, the openness, and the larger screens. The iPhones are pretty phones, and even though I'm on a 4 I also manage our whole enterprise phone contract, so I've gotten to play with the 5 a good bit. The biggest disappointment of the 5, imo, is that the case scratches fairly easily. Oh well. Also of note is that I get way, WAY better battery life out of my iPhone.

Apple has the better app ecosystem. Android has more free stuff and you don't have to jailbreak to get to some of the good stuff.

So in conclusion... I'd wait. I hear the Galaxy S4 will be launching in February. But imo you'd probably be happier with either. Personally, I'd go with a Nexus 4. But Google effed up by only having that on T-Mobile.

I recently upgraded to the Note 2 from the GS3
Both are great! The N7100 is basically a supersized Galaxy S3

The GS3 and Note 2 will destroy the iPhone 5 in battery life also.
With custom roms, things even get better

Get the note 2 you won't be dissappointed and won't want to go back to a screen smaller than 5 inches.

I've played with the 5 and the s3, all my friends have the latest greatest isheep products, because how awesome they are and how reliable and long lasting, yet no ones kept their stuff over a year with out upgrading.. Apple makes a good OS, if the had different packages to put that OS in, I'd buy a apple product.. But I like my bigger screen and longer battery life.. I only went to my RAZR HD because my RAZR got stolen..

My mom has the S3.. And she is as dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to her phone.. I've gone over there to "fix" things that she has no business messing with.. It's a fast phone with a nice screen.. And because it runs android I would get it over a iPhone 5.. This all comes down to preference.. I'd still get a RAZR over a S3.. Like what was mentioned.. Run to best buy and play with them as long as you need to.. Make a decision that way..

And I don't hate on all apple products.. I'm typing this from my iPad 3
Funny I too typing on retinapad but also feel radio wise,
Moto>Samsung
Same with speaker phones

Just go to a store and compare
I returned a Samsung galaxy for a moto hd maxx

I also sold a xyboard for iPad.

There is good reason that Android devices have a 75% market share and iOS 15%

I will look to upgrade in the new year to a galaxy note or equivalent. The sheer freedom in these phones to do as much or as little as you please is great.

If you are technically minded enough, you can even make modifications to the OS itself (high risk stuff though!)

Not really a fair comparison though, since over 50% of Android devices are at an extremely low price point (compared to the iPhone, SG3, HTC One X, etc.). If you only looked at handset vs handset, it would be more fair.

This girl I know wants to get the iphone 5 - which is fine. To each their own but I got into a fb argument about it because she wanted to get the 16gb one-and I replied why not the highest gb
Because 1. You plan on keeping it for many years
And 2. You have an ipod and can put that music on it.
IT SHARES THE SAME ITUNES!! and she says no, shell carry around BOTH iphone and ipod when she goes places.
She's fucking retarded. Makes me feel like most people who get an iphone are just that dumb. Ugh *smh*

Iphone: flawless interface
Android: customizable, replaceable battery (for when you forget to charge it don't fret and pop in a new one) add more memory to it as well

In the end it's up to you. Both are great phones, apple fucked me over so the music that I paid for in itunes can't be put on my android. Unless I sit there and convert everything-speaking of which does anyone know a good program to do this?
I want to put some of my itunes stuff onto my s3...Someone once mentioned to me Google Music? Err yeah not to well informed about the programs out there.

"CulbyJack"

Just changed from S2 to Note 2 as well the Note 2 is a beast Battery is awesome lasts 3 days + running apps, browsing calls text etc with a massive screen and Quadcore

It is quite big at the start but only took a couple of days to get used to and all good also fits in your pocket fine

Had an iPhone first then S2 now Note 2, wife has got each one after me currently using S2

Same as tablets Had iPad could not wait to get rid of it piece of crap IMO now using Galaxy 10.1 with wife having Tab 2 7"

And for everyone saying how the iPhone is better quality remember that Apple actually relies heavily on Samsung to deliver up to 25% of the iPhone parts. Among the components include the flash memory within, DRAM memory and the applications processor which basically makes the entire handset tick.

Had my 5 for 3 months now. Great battery, super quick, perfect size, and looks/feels awesome. It is extremely stable. Just a great phone that does everything I want.

iphone 5 = doesn't give a fuck, thinks it can do everything and do it better, forces it's life style on to everyone and ignores previously well established and straight forward procedures.

samsung = team player, does everything you want it to do and allows others to join in on the fun

either way you're spending a considerable amount of money

if you've already bought into the whole Apple "world" then get the iphone because it will integrate better into your already established life style.

if you're a normal person who thinks apple, as a company, is a retardation of fucktards that wants to do everything differently just to troll people, and want nothing more than for them to fail utterly and let true innovators move forward, then spend your money with Samsung (or any other big player for that matter, like RIM)

People get so heated lol

Its just a phone at the end of the day.

They both call, text, and browse the web. Either will be good
