The S3 is not buggy, some apps are because they are not phone specific. Just read reviews. I will say the S3 BT works amazingly with the stock HU. Links even when the car is moving and if you stream music and leave it paused, it automatically starts back up once it relinks. Really cool when getting in and out running errands

The only thing Apple is great at is marketing and making people believe that they are the first for everything. Thats just me, again, my Samsung works just fine.
Apple also maintains strict control of their hardware and the software in their app store, so you're a LOT less likely to run into a problem. If it runs on an iphone, it runs the same on all iphones.

Google has no control over the hardware and pretty much any idiot can put an app up in their store. That app may run fine on the developer's phone or emulator or whatever he used to test it, but there's no guarantee it's going to be glitch-free on every android device.

Personally, I don't need much more of a phone than its stock abilities, and I do see quite a bit of value in having the apps I may need tested and known to work before installing them (or worse - paying for a garbage app).

Of course, there is still an awful lot of brand premium built into apple's pricing.

I don't have an S3 but I do have the HTC One X which is comparable to the S3. I had the iPhone 4 before. People who say the iPhone feels like a quality product because of the materials they use are silly. I had my iPhone 4 shatter when i dropped it about 5 inches onto the ground, i replaced one screen and 2 backs on my i4 and I had a case on the damn thing. I also hate using iTunes for everything, it's restrictive, hogs computer resources, and is just an overall horrible program.

My One X has survived drops, spills, animals, etc and is made from "cheap plastic". In my opinion it feels sleek and modern while the i5 feels dated. The screen is huge, but still has a resolution that is almost "retina" quality. My battery lasts longer than any iPhone ive ever had, even when leaving BT on. Then comes the widgets and customization. The only gripe I have is that more games are available on iOS at the moment, but I think it's coming around now that Android phones are rocking better processors than the Apple phones.

Good friend of mine has the S3 and I have the iPhone 5. Comparing them side by side I'd say the S3 is better overall with the exception of the build quality/feel in the 10-15 mins I played around. My friend had a iPhone 4 before and he said the S3 was easy to transition to and he's happy with the change.

I also did a informal browsing test just loading up different websites and the S3 did better, although speedtest showed mine having faster internet.

+1 on the RAZR HD MAXX... I have the standard RAZR HD.. The MAXX wasn't available.. And my battery life over just my original RAZR is mind blowing.. I've gone 12-13 hours constantly on voxer as a means of communication for work with the screen in half way and still had 77% battery left.. I came from a iPhone 3G and haven't looked back. I've played with the 5 and the s3, all my friends have the latest greatest isheep products, because how awesome they are and how reliable and long lasting, yet no ones kept their stuff over a year with out upgrading.. Apple makes a good OS, if the had different packages to put that OS in, I'd buy a apple product.. But I like my bigger screen and longer battery life.. I only went to my RAZR HD because my RAZR got stolen..

My mom has the S3.. And she is as dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to her phone.. I've gone over there to "fix" things that she has no business messing with.. It's a fast phone with a nice screen.. And because it runs android I would get it over a iPhone 5.. This all comes down to preference.. I'd still get a RAZR over a S3.. Like what was mentioned.. Run to best buy and play with them as long as you need to.. Make a decision that way..

And I don't hate on all apple products.. I'm typing this from my iPad 3

I got a galaxy, and as stupid as it does I didn't like it at first because the screen was so big...

but after a while when I pick up my friend's iphone it seems to tiny.

However it's your choice, both phones do all the same thing anyway, I like not being tied to the stupid itunes app. I can swap mp3s/pics/files from multiple computers no problem and it's easy to get a larger memory with a simple SD card.

The iphone is a beautiful phone and nice to handle..too bad you have to cover it in in a case because the front and the back can easily crack..way more fragile than the galaxy's...but the iphone 5 doesn't have the glass back anymore so I guess that irrivelant lol.

I have to admit the new case finish on the iPhone 5 is very appealing, but I still dislike iOS and I dislike the phone's size. I saw a friend's Galaxy S3 the other day and it looks a little big compared to my 4.3" HTC Inspire 4G (AT&T still doesn't give me 4G service though even after almost 2 years, f*** you AT&T), but it's perfect for using GPS navigation or Torque in the car.

The whole "Apple apps are better" argument doesn't really apply to most people. The major apps are all fine, and I don't think there is an equivalent of Torque for iOS for example.

I've had the S3 and it's a great phone. (If you put a custom rom on it). I personally like the CyanogenMod rom. It has Jellybean. Buuuut I switched to the iPhone 5 not even a month later. I'm more a apple fan girl and I was dying to try the phone out so I went for it.

The iPhone 5 though is pretty much a 4s with LTE. It's nice to have a bigger screen but it is narrow.

I think choosing between the two is more of which OS you like better. Android or iPhone.

Good luck choosing!

My wife and I just switched from iphone4 to s3's and we love them... little weird to get used to the screen size at first, (now my iphone feels way small) and I still havent figured out how to connect my phone to the fr-s other than through the earphone jack for pandora, but for the phones them selfs are awesome I do miss auto correct but I hear u can buy different key boards for texting and what not that have autocorrect... and all of the apps we had on our iphones we have on the s3 and they all run fine so far! Had the s3s for about 2 weeks now.
