I don't like the Camaro at all personally, but I can somewhat understand his point of view. I've considered trading my BRZ in for a 2013 Mustang GT many, many times before. Now I love the BRZ too much, and plan to keep it and it's most likely my Legacy GT that's gonna get sacrificed in order to get a Mustang, lol. I just need to develop the balls to drive a RWD car in the snow before I make the move. I like the security of the Legacy's AWD.

See if you can pickup a Boss instead. A Mustang GT would be a good purchase but plan on doing suspension mods.

driving a rwd car in the snow is very easy,especially with "nannies" on board!

I think "very easy" is an exaggeration, but I do think people make it out to be far worse then it really is. There is also a factor of ground clearance which is not great on our cars.

A lot of it depends on what kind of snow your talking about. In deep wet snow I'm finding the BRZ is not hard to get stuck even with snow tires. On packed snow its doing just fine for me.

I really dont understand this guy's decision. Yeah if you want speed that's one thing, but going from a lightweight tuner handler's delight to a million pound stiff straight-away boat boggles my mind. If OP was so worried about losing control (in which I almost find laughable) with given tires why not just upgrade the tire size? Furthermore, if speed was an issue(in which we all know it is) he could have just added FI. Idk, maybe he just wasnt as much as a tuning enthusiasts as he thought he was. Tuning an american car? Pff no thankyou.

car's not a snowmobile! when i say easy,i mean in light snow conditions in general.in heavier snow,it's a toss up,but the odds are against ya because the f**king car is too light,even with proper skins. you won't find me out drivin' around in it in ANY snow conditions period,however IF ya get stuck driving in the white stuff,EARLY ON,you will be able to get home,just keep the nannies on,and drive slow for the conditions,and you 'll be fine..(r.w.d.) or not!

I'm not entirely sure how I am assuming or mistaking anything, considering what I posted, quoted again above. The Camaro SS is a better platform for making a lot of power. To which you responded "I wouldn't necessarily say "better"......"

So that's all I wanted to know. Why is the Camaro not a better platform for developing power? This is not me "being that guy," that was me honestly wondering what you were thinking when there are 1500 horsepower 5th gens and the FRS/BRZ has seen a third of that. Time will tell how well the twins handle thousands of horsepower, I suppose. Anyone can make a lot of power in anything, as long as you have money and the room to put an engine. But IMO the engine is the heart of a platform, and a hybrid build doesn't support the original purpose of the vehicle. As I said though, IMO.

tl;dr: OP wanted MOAR POWER. Camaro SS (or Mustang GT) is the better car if cheap power is all you want.
