Plan on keeping it stock for now, they only made 150 in my color so trying to keep it nice for the long haul. I'm definitely going to track it s few times this year.

Will probably use the FRS to relieve the "mod bug".

Not a truly rare 302 awesome to hear that you will be using it correctly though (on the track )

I know a guy who does reviews for Roadfly TV and LOVED his Type R more than any other car he's owned to date. He said that the Boss was the closest thing he's driven to his ITR (he hadn't driven the twins yet) and he loved every minute in it.

This seems like a fitting reply then I wouldn't say the boss is all that similiar to the ITR myself, besides both being focused examples of the vehicles they are based off of. I assume you are talking about ross.

Yup, I'd say that '12 SBY is about as rare as they come. 1 of 1 right?

I wasn't expecting him to like it as much as he did actually. I think your right about them being focused versions of their base model cars. Not that they are comparable on a sheet, but the feeling that they give to the drivers is likely the same. I've driven all but the latest CTR, but I can't say I've had the pleasure of driving a Boss yet.

A lady at my work just got a Laguna Seca version, but almost purely as a show car, so I'm sure I'll never get to drive it.

actually I somehow missed the white roof on your car. That wins. That is a 2013 SBY Laguna Seca, not a 12 Your red/white car is about 60 cars more rare

That is my ITR and a good friend's Boss (he also has a 1997 ITR). It's a Laguna Seca but not completely stock. Everything in the rear suspension is replaced, 302R brakes, FR oil cooler, front vorschlag camber plates, dampers and springs replaced, sway bars replaced, 4 point roll bar, 302R brake booster/abs module (disables traction control all the time, puts all settings in sport mode)/bmc, ss lines, cf driveshaft, probably more that I'm forgetting. It can be a little of a pita to work on but it is fun to drive and he's very happy with it on the track after we sorted it out. The original owner (he bought it ~3 months after the original owner bought it and spent 20k on it) had a shop install the parts and some stuff had to be fixed right away. Nothing major, worse thing was probably the calipers installed backwards. Front swaybar bracket pulled out also which caused a lot of lean at sebring and tried to punch holes in the oil filter :o Power wise it's stock though

Duh, my bad. That car is sweet and I bet it's a rocket on the track with those mods.

Dave, is your ITR modded or stock? You might know a friend of mine in the (ex) ITR community, Josh Wilson, aka itrsport.com? He had a black one that was insanely pristine black '00 (I think it was a 97), spoon calipers and comptech headers I think. Sold it after years of ownership and the new owner rear ended someone on the freeway like 3 weeks later.
