Yeah it is frustrating, but I think Subaru tells them to confirm the symptoms before ordering and if you're the first one they've done then they want to confirm.

My dealer and service manager is awesome to work with (Carter Shoreline Subaru) but still happened to me as well, and since they ended up installing the antenna frame one day and then the SD card later when it came in, I made sure to report to them how each was a good part of the fix but necessary (antenna fixed reception, SD card fixed how it reacts when it loses signal).

Hopefully the next guys to schedule the fix they will be able to just ask questions about the symptom and trust them.

Which dealership did you have all this done? The two dealerships I've taken my car to haven't heard of the issues with the GPS nor the Fuel Pump and want to keep the car for two days. I'd rather have everything done in two hours.

I've had my car in three times since this bulletin apparently came out. Each time I was told there was nothing yet and they'd call me when they got word from Subaru. The last time about two weeks ago the dealership guy even told me he was going to go look at the service bulletins and told me there was nothing. I finally had to email SOA to complain about a fix not being out yet and a day later I got a call to schedule an appointment. Like everyone else, my car was in the shop for six hours for them to tell me that they had to get some numbers from my unit to order the new SD card. By the time this thing gets fixed, I'll have brought it in at least 6 times with a complaint about the GPS not working and 4 since the bulletin came out. The service guys at my dealership are nice, but this is raising serious questions about their competence or effort.

Wow, that is just awful. The TSB is there to make the dealer's job easy. There are only a handful of TSBs out for the BRZ, they were either lying or incompetent. My dealer service department was right on top of it when I came in.

Before you come to an appointment to actually fix it, call service department to make sure they really have parts. In my case appointment was rescheduled three times. It took more than a month to get parts to dealer from Subaru.
