How does it work though? How can you record this when your car is parked on the street? Do you need the car to be turned on inorder to record?
I am pretty sure they went over this in the thread, but basically the camera is hard wired and has flash memory. It is constantly recording, but only writes when their is motion or you can set it for a shock setting which then records 5 seconds before and some amount of time after the shock occurs.

No, it is ALWAYS recording, and always writing over itself UNLESS there is motion or shock, then it will store the recording.

I agree! I came from a Honda forum and noticed the people here are a lot friendlier and helpful. Glad to be part of this brotherhood :happy0180:

I'm sure he's not a bad dude or anything, and I'm sure other people in his position probably would have done the same thing. I'm just glad we caught him, and he seems to be doing the right thing by sorting things out with the OP in private. I will say this though, if I am ever in a situation where I hit a parked car (knock on wood) I'm definitely leaving my contact info. Internet Justice is a bitch.

u guys misunderstood me.. I"m not saying he was not the same dude that did it.. I'm just saying for those who thought his post was about this incident and turned it around and said someone scrapped him and ran off... i know some people don't pay attention to the dates.. Thats why i stated that he might make a habit of hit and run.

and yes the irony.. if some1 did hit his car and ran, i'd assume that he knows how it feels to be the victim yet he goes and do it...

well, he has to man up ..he caught red handed.. now he's trying lessen the consequences haha would be extremely stupid for him to try to deny now and not do anything about it.. i say don't bother talking to him anymore and go straight to insurance
