I really am impressed with the members that solved this crime here. In Cali this a misdemeanor hit and run. I hope the OP is compensated adequately. Too bad you couldn't shame him further on his own forum.

It's clearly him, and it looks like he manned up. So good for him, case closed

The shame is in belonging to clublexus in the first place. It's the Jersey Shore of car forums, and this conduct from one of its members doesn't surprise me at all. I'm almost more surprised that this guy wasn't fist pumping out the window as he drove away.

You need to re-read all the posts there...it's definitely him.

The incident he posted on clublexus is completely unrelated to the OP's situation. I just thought it was ironic that he had a post about how upset he was that someone hit his car and ran, and a month later does the exact same thing to someone else. I'm sure he's not a bad dude or anything, and I'm sure other people in his position probably would have done the same thing. I'm just glad we caught him, and he seems to be doing the right thing by sorting things out with the OP in private. I will say this though, if I am ever in a situation where I hit a parked car (knock on wood) I'm definitely leaving my contact info. Internet Justice is a bitch.

Glad to know the members here look out for eachother - also very glad that the ISF owner seems to be manning up to what he did. Sucks he had to be called out to do so, though!

after reading this i'm definitely looking into getting a dash cam for my car.

How does it work though? How can you record this when your car is parked on the street? Do you need the car to be turned on inorder to record?
