I'm running another vendor's exhaust, and after the first 500-1000 miles the packing in the muffler settled down and the hum (not quite drone, but close) in the mid RPM went away. I've expanded it to a header back, and it sounds great. The new overpipe really picked up the sound level to make it beefy.
I'm glad you like it.

Ok, here's another update. Turns out the locking rings were not put on. I installed the locking rings and what a difference. The exhaust does not move as much anymore. The tips still stick out more to the left. I thought they were perfect after figeting around with them for an hour and a half, but right after I drive, the heat must expand the pipes or something and cause the left tip to stick out more.
I realized that the car was quieter after I was done and turns out The seal was not tight enough, hence some exhaust leak that leads to the loudness. I ended up checking the front and what do you know, one of the front pipe bolts snapped. I attempted to put in a spare but the holes were not aligned, so I loosened up the other side, and that snaps under tension as well. great. After another hour of work, I finally got it tightened and good to go. Exhaust is not a lot quieter, however now I need to bring it in to Toyota because the damn stero or something inside the car is rattling from 1800-2100 Rpms lol -.- |

Rasp is also significantly less as I suspect it was the piping vibrating off of each other due to improper install of the mechanic. If you want something done right, I guess do it yourself...
Now to get the tips perfectly aligned... When everything is perfect, pics and videos will be up! |

@Sony I'll try the loose then slowly adjust tactic. Because for now, they are perfect when cold... but right after a drive the sucker on the left moves out. FML
hopefully it doesn't rain that bad tomorrow |

Is the drone gone now that you have it installed correctly? I'm switching from a GReddy Evo3 to a Perrin system because other reviews have maintained that the Perrin is drone-free. Sure hope I'm not just replacing one drone with another.

yeah, drone is gone, this was caused by an exhaust leak caused by this... the front pipe bolts snapped, i don't know why... had to get some spares and retighten everything. Now, the drone is 100% gone. The exhaust is starting to break in real nice. It's pretty quiet now that I've driven a good 650 miles. 6th gear on the freeway is barely audible. I'd assume a 1-2db louder compared to stock. It's that quiet. Once you step on it, however, PURE SEX

Another update, still can't adjust those dang tips perfectly! when it's cold, perfect... after driven, the left tip just keeps coming out by 1/4 inch... barely noticeable, unless you're me.
Also heard the Berk's Muffler delete dual tip in person and driven. Drones in cabin. A lot... also really loud. with 10 being an open tube drag racer, the Berk's comes in at an 8 while the Perrin headerback (non resonated, catted front pipe, and overpipe) comes in at a 6.5. stock would be like a 2-3 lol |

Man, between Perrin and Nameless, it's a close one for me. Both such good companies with quality designs.
