Nice. You on S14.net? Any thoughts on Perrin developing for the E30 chassis?

Yep, I'm Cone on there. Been a member since the beginning. I wish we would make parts for the E30! Only in our dreams though, the market is too small.

But I still have the touring;

Its my winter beater these days.

That rings a bell. Haven't be on the site for many months now.

Your thoughts on how the twins compare to the E30 M3? It seems like some are in denial that it's one of the closest in feeling stock for stock.

In terms of the market size, you would be surprised. I've sold a lot of airboxes the last two years. And then imagine how much VAC and Markus have sold through the years. One would think the market would be flooded. Just need to find the right product to market.

I haven't really been active on S14.net for years, I wouldn't think most people would remember me, unless they were on there 10 years ago!

I can't help with the comparisons, I don't even own a BRZ/FRS, yet at least! One day. From my short stint driving a BRZ, it's maybe similar, but I'd have to do a lot more driving to make a better comparison. Plus I haven't had stock suspension in my M3 in 10 years!

For sure there's a ton of E30s out there, I guess my choice of words wasn't right. But comparing to Subarus, it would be a hard market to enter, since we aren't known in the BMW world, and our parts would be pretty expensive for a car that is at least 20 years old.

I bet it's fun sliding that thing around in the snow. As the cars get older maybe we will see more Touring on this continent.

You should make it a point to drive it more. We go through periods of more or less use. It always reminds us why it's so good. Just light and peppy and fun.

I don't know yet. They decided to drag me a long at the last minute so I'll ask about it when I arrive at the track tomorrow.

I remember talking to a guy in 2003 while I was going to school at wazzu who bought an e30 m3 with a blown motor for $1500. It was super clean. Couldn't believe how cheap he got it.
