Any e30 fans here?

I bring this up because actually the car I miss most is my '91 318iS. Lightweight, enthusiastic engine, great handling, great looking and driving car. And actually, right now I'm looking for another one. Any other fans here? Seems like they'd get pretty good respect in this crowd.

I think there's an e30 thread already, but yes :)

I couldn't find it man! I'm sure another thread to these great cars can't hurt. I had an Alpine White 318iS, and I miss it like crazy. Here's a picture of an Alpine e30 (not mine) that says it all. Love the side profile:

I bought my first 318iS for $2800. Now I'm looking to spend $4-8K to buy a near-mint stock example with low miles that I can keep forever. As soon as I sold that car I regretted it.

Sadly I can't find any cars at the moment in nearly that condition for $2800. I got real lucky with that one.

A buddy of mine has 2 E30 M3's. One with the bigger motor and fully built. They're awesome. If I had the time and could find a clean one, I'd buy it and build it out.

Who it's your buddy? Does he have a screenname handle?

We love them (in fact, we just made a t-shirt for them). Here's a recent snap:

No he doesn't go on any site that I know of. Next time I see him, I'll take some pics of his ride and post them up.

Let him know about S14.net if he doesn't know about it already. Great resource for E30 M3 owners.

I've got an e30, and love it... Not much e30 left in it though.

Motorsport stripes on the SR20 cover. Good stuff.

Quite the E30!
