Important: DBA Rear Rotors (BRZ/FR-S)

Be advised if you ordered DBA rear rotors or plan on doing so you'll need
to confirm you have the correct rear rotors for BRZ/FR-S.
I received non-vented 4000 series rotors (42659S)...these are wrong for FR-S
For the 4000 series, you'll need DBA42663S...these are vented ones for FR-S.
They were just released by DBA.
Note: BRZ comes with either vented(limited) or non-vented(premium) rears

I was going to say these have not been out until very recently.

We run the fronts on our car and soon the rears. DBA is top notch!

The 42659S are rear discs for the lower spec cars delivered in Aus, Jap, etc.
4648S is the part number for the lower spec front discs.

BRZ/FR-S Rear Rotors

My understanding...
US Limited BRZ has vented rear rotors
US Premium BRZ has non-vented rotors
US FR-S has vented rear rotors

If you check the DBA book it lists different rotors for the Limited and Premium. I ordered a full set for my limited and they were ALL WRONG. The rears were not vented and the fronts were about an inch too small.

The DB in DBA stands for Don't Bother.

Oh, and I'll also add that the vents in the front rotors were radial. They weren't the "Kangaroo Paw" that DBA promotes.

I must be lucky, Rallysport Direct took care of my fronts.

The smaller front/solid rear setup is used on the low-content cars in some markets (Australia being one) - the ones with the 16" wheels.

Unfortunately, they are marketed to the US market as the appropriate parts in both their published jobber catalog and our in-house EPC. Needless to say, I was peeved when I wasted an afternoon due to this. I was going to keep a matched set of track pads and rotors, but instead I just sent them all back and re-bedded my street pads on my stock blanks.

** I verified that the Brz has different rear rotors available between premium and limited models. I checked both at the dealership. I haven't confirmed the fronts though.
FYI: I contacted DBA directly in Australia... they have good customer service.
