My back seats collect dust so I keep them always folded down.

probably helps with weight distribution too, right? keeps mass in the center for lower polar moment.

personally i wouldn't bother with this if it isn't standard.

quality is so so and doesn't do much other than add weight.

i'd rather spend the $$ on some JDM Coachworks goodies.

Add weight? Seriously, come on... how much more weigh can this really add to the car?... Heck, I would just go on a diet and lose a few pounds for this. Lol

On another note; it would give the interior a nice clean finish and match PERFECTLY well with the upcoming arm rest!...

where is the arm rest to match this piece???

it might be light but you are still adding weight. as i said i can find better stuff to add weight than this.

btw the quality of this is so so. it actually isn't very soft iirc and too low to rest your arm on when you sit in the back. so it's purely a cosmetic mod.

but you can spend you money on whatever you want. each to their own.

ps. i actually quite like the exposed carpet bits. remind me a lot of 911 rear seats.

Prototype OEM arm rests in the making. Just FYI.

Yeah I don't think weight is really the issue...I think I ate more for lunch at a Greek restaurant today, than what this thing weighs.

It also seems like this particular piece acts as a sound deadener for the obviously rear drive shaft tunnel and for; perhaps, road noise... Hence why the OP called it "Seat silencer"

So true. How is it were all buying these cars for how they drive and then getting wrapped up in all the little details that just make it... nicer? I have never been so wrapped up in wanting to make a car show worthiness. Spent my first 200$ or so on led bulbs and a badge. :banghead:
