Stock projectors FR-S, suitability for HID??
Since this seems to be brought up regularly on various threads, I wanted to know from people that have tested HID's in their FR-S if they have found there to be unacceptable light dispersion or glare.
Those with tech qualifications that have looked at the cutoff etc please chime in. Opinions welcome but really looking for technical specifics. Hopefully we will get some decent input here and I will give my experience later in the thread.

I have them in mine. I think they have a pretty normal light spread pattern. Definitely not like a civic without projectors. There's some video on YouTube of someone with them showing how much glare there is. Look at that and decide if that's good for you or not.

You may want to consider heat as well. I have read one case of a guy damaging his housing because the HID's run hotter. This as well as glare should be your primary issues of concern when doing a conversion.

you should be able to see them. But yes, just flatten the bent up plate of metal as best you can.
