What are people paying now that most of the insurance companies have a FRS option, if I were to get a FRS it would be $400/month.. probably because i'm 17.

Keep one thing in mind when you're talking about insurance rates. Asking someone how much they pay for insurance is just about the same as asking someone how much they spend on groceries. There are so many factors that play into your rates. Not only your age and driving record but your credit score (as crazy as that sounds), is your car kept in a garage, even your zip code, let alone the county you live in. What you pay in your zip code will not necessarily be the same that someone in one area over from you will pay. One of the reasons for that is companies have very complete records on most common areas for car theft, vandalism, etc.

The best you can do is shop all the companies in your area and make your decision.

$63.60/mo: 100k/300k, 500/250 deductible
34, male, married, kids, good credit, 2 other vehicles on policy

I actually came here because I thought the rate was crazy high. It's considerably more expensive than what we pay for either of our other vehicles: 09 Tacoma, 13 Highlander. Heck it's MORE than I was paying for my 2011 S4 (a 60k 333hp supercharged car!!!!)

What gives with rates on these cars? Is it because there isn't a lot of information to "rate" from yet? Someone at the ins. co's google a picture and say OMG, CHARGE LOTS? :P

My FR-S is $66/mo for $100k/300k/100k coverage, $500 deductible for collision.

That's a lot cheaper than my GTI, which is costing me $94/mo for some reason.

Mine is $160ish/month - 23 Female/MA/1 speeding ticket. 50/100/100 Liability, Comp deductible 300, Collision is 1000 (for now)

I've posted this before in another thread on the FRS/BRZ insurance (can't find it now however) - the rates on these cars are going to fluctuate. Right now, a lot of the insurance companies systems, will not populate the vehicle specifics based on the VIN because its too new. Which is why they "manually over-ride" it to show the cars' specifics. What will happen - is after the next year or so when crash/safety ratings become more accurate after time, the VINs will start to populate and pull a more "accurate" rate if you will. Don't be surprised if after 6 months to a year (depending on your policy term) that the rate changes on these. I know first hand as I work for one of the bigger named companies out there.
