I found a TSB for other Toyota vehicles, which say to use a jumper wire from pin 13 (TC) to pin 4 (CG) on the DLC3. Has anyone been successful reprogramming the TPMS IDs? Did you have to go through this?
I had the same problem with programming TPMS. I have an ATEQ tool for doing it though so I haven't messed around with it much.

Techstream is not using the OBDII bus. Even though it usese the same physical connection it's connecting to Toyota's propritary bus, and requires the Mongoose, or other special cable.

Yeah, I found that same info. I'd rather not start shorting pins on my OBD2 until someone else confirms that it's not gonna fry anything

Exactly. Different command set. Found this out last night using my BT ELM327.

I'll try it when I have some time. I'm not that worried about it. Did they have a suggested method for running the jumpper?

Looks like it's just a straight wire that connects the two pins. Here's the TSB that has diagrams and instructions: http://www.toyotapart.com/TIRE_PRESS...SB-0084-09.pdf

That's the same TSB I found.

Anyone can buy it from http://techinfo.toyota.com

The yearly subscription rate is a tad steep unless your have a shop with a heavy Toyota workload however.

To the OP: I also have the software and have been using it since it came out, and I used the old TDT "gameboy" for 10 years before that.

FYI you cannot reflash an FRS with the Toyota software, but you can use the drewtechnologies MFC Pro cable and different software programs.

Putting TC to CG is fine - its used to handshake ECUs and put things in test mode on pretty much every Toyota for the last 15 years

I'll try it with mine this weekend. If it doesn't work, I'm ordering the Quickset tool for $150.

I just ordered the ATEQ Quickset. I have to do my wife's care anyway (Nissan, Murano). The Quickset is back ordered until January, everywhere.
