Not expressly allowed = banned, so not allowed in Street Touring:

14.2.B. The driver and front passenger seats may be replaced, with the following restrictions: The seating surface must be fully upholstered.
The top of the seat, or an attached headrest, may not be below the
center of the driver’s head. The seat, including mounting hardware,
must weigh at least 25 pounds and must be attached using the OE
body mounting holes/studs. Additional mounting points may be added.

And it looks like it's not allowed in Street Prepared either:

15.2.F. The driver and front passenger seats may be replaced, with the following
restrictions: Seats must be securely mounted per 3.3.3.B.2.
The seating surface must be fully upholstered. Any replacement
seat must be a full back, bucket-type automobile seat incorporating
a functional headrest. Kart seats, low-back dune buggy seats, and
other similar types of seat are expressly prohibited. Cars may have
no fewer than the standard number of seats.
The seat tracks are
considered part of the seat and may be substituted. Alternate seat
tracks may serve no other purpose. The standard seat belts may be
removed to facilitate the installation of alternate restraints complying
with safety requirements. An alternate seat which replaces an
airbag-equipped seat is not required to have an airbag.

Bumps you straight into Street Mod:
16.1.K. Rear passenger seat(s), including restraints and associated hardware may be removed.

I think the PAX adjusters for each class are as follows:
CS 0.833
STX 0.822 (assuming we land in STX)
CSP 0.857
SM 0.866

So if you're built to Street Touring, I hope a rear seat delete either saves you 3.05 seconds off a 60-second lap or you're fine not making the extra modifications to be competitive in SM.

^^^ Exactly why I'll keep the rear seat. I'm planning to run STX. Car is still stock right now.

I've been hoping for something like this. I don't like the back seats and I rarely have passengers back there but I want something finished. I am patient for a design I will like.

Is anyone interested in doing the rear seat bottoms? We are looking into making compartments where you remove the rear seat bottoms and bolt this in. Either turn it into a storage compartment or a speaker box. Will likely have JPM Coachworks cover them to match the OEM rear backs for a complete look. And you will still be able to fold the backs down flat as well. Is there enough interest for this?
