East coast, they're a big online vendor for subaru brakes.

And actually the DBA rear rotors are dual-drilled. pn 42656 (as long as it ends in -10).

I used 08-12 STI DBA 4000 T3 rotors. As long as the DBA rotors have a -10 at the end of the part number, then they are dual drilled for 5x100 and 5x114.3. Parking brake works great. I got a great deal on the rotors and pads from a vendor on NASIOC. I will get some pics of the brakes this weekend.

Mine were used but in great condition. I just used a 3/8" socketed allen head and a 3/8" breaker bar and the screws came out with no issues. They were all red loctited, but still came out with no stripping of the allen head.

I used a socketed allen head too but it stripped. I have been having bad luck with any allen holes that are on this car.

Some brake comparisons

So, people were getting a little hot and bothered by the possible comparisons, capabilities and drawbacks of various setups.

The STI setup is a bit heavy but will likely work well with some light weight 2 piece rotors. The AP stuff uses more "narrow band" rotors which should also work "better" than the STI stock stuff in the sense that the thermal balance of the inner radius and outer radius of the rotor will be more similar. An STI rotor has more swept area in its design but the inner radius is of decreasing benefit while adding a lot of weight. These weight numbers were taken from Essex, GiroDisk and I cannot verify them.

If you can really get STI Brembo calipers from RockAuto for less than $150 each you can make yourself a good brake setup albeit you may want some pricey ($700/pr) two piece rotors or they will weigh more than stock. The rotating mass is still likely heavier than stock, just me eyeballing things.

------------STOCK-- STI---ESSEX Sp---ESSEX End---STI 2pc Rotor
Caliper----- 11.6-- 8.2----- 5.6---- 5.6 --------- 8.2
Pads--------- 1.8-- 2.7----- 2.4---- 2.4---------- 2.7
Rotor------- 17.0-- 20.5--- 12.2--- 17.6--------- 16.5
Misc--------- 0.8-- 0.8----- 0.8---- 0.8---------- 0.8
Total------- 31.2-- 32.2--- 21.0--- 26.4--------- 28.2

I contacted Rockauto about the remanned Brembos, and they are not Brembos. The A-1 Cardone calipers are a Tokico casting caliper.
