The Fr-S concept s a couple inches lower... what's the point though? We already know it's not gonna look like the concept. |

FD RX7's are sooo sexy.
It's nice that people are talking about power to weight. But there is also contact patch to weight, inertia, transient response, swept braking area per tonne, etc... Also someone mentioned the thing about starting with a low weight car vs a heavy car of the same power to weight, a 10 hp gain is better in the light car. Light > Heavy. (unless they're rotary powered... rotaries are the devil. )

I wasn't trying to make any point with the FRS v FD3, was just personal curiosity. I'd like to see how they line up. Looking at the Mk1, I don't see how they can fit a back seat, let alone actually expect a person with legs to fit back there.

lol They're going to have to. This is one time when I wish insurance companies were smarter and checked out the cars they're insuring. Maybe they'd catch the design in concept form, and tell Toyota "Listen, I'm onto you. This isn't really a 4 seater. We're going to charge you the same for this car as we would if you removed these rear "seats" so you might as well just cut it out, literally."
2 seats FTW |

Noo I need at least 4 seats!! I wont be using that often but there are times where i need to give a friend/work college a lift home and really like it to have the 4 seats ... don't care if they aren't comfy... just so long as its legal to have more then 2 people in the car :P

I.. honestly wouldn't mind the 2 seats in the back. For emergency purposes I'd like to keep them. LOL

Yeah, screw rear passengers. My car doesn't produce enough torque for me as is so why would I care about more weight.

This car is being built to haul ass. It shouldn't be expected to haul more ass than could realistically fit in it.
That being said, I already have a big, honkin' SUV to haul people around in. The back seats in the FRS are getting ganked the day it comes home from the lot.

It will be like the MK4 Supra and JDM FDs. They had backseats but were useless.
