Hello, chillins. Great to see a new RWD car coming!

Hey, people.

It's great to see a new RWD car coming out from a value-manufacturer that won't be (I hope)
  1. Well over $24,000
  2. in excess of 3200 lbs
  3. unable to achieve 30 mpg on the highway
  4. full of useless gee-gaws that I can buy and install myself at 1/5th the price
  5. a torqueless wonder

At least, that's what I'm praying for. I've been hoping for a tossable, light, manual-transmission RWD coupe with at least 2+2 seating (I just want to be able to put a person in the back for a 10 minute ride to lunch without them feeling like a canned sardine) since the last Reagan Administration that doesn't cost the Gross National Product of Brazil.

PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE say it's so! Will be watching the Geneva Motor Show for the word on the Final Product.

I'd expect a higher price tag, but everything else looks feasible.

I think I know what he means by torqueless wonders. Pretty much anything around 2600lbs-3400lbs with a n/a 2.0 liter like honda engines and the last celica engines. I hope we get a 2.5l D/I f4 with 225hp@6000 rpms/190-200tq@4000 rpms paired to a sub 2800 lb RWD body.

Sorry for the late reply, kids.

This is what I'm talking about.

Hey, those pics at the show are pretty dadgum impressive. While I'm off finishing school I won't be in much of a position to buy this vehicle but expect to be back in the group of responsible taxpayers within two years easy - and the Cruiser will only have a couple of years left on the loan. As I am over 500 years of age, I can do a couple of years standing on my head!

With a 2.0 L motor, that car will go down the road pretty good while getting solid mileage, and probably this will reign in insurance costs, esp. for you youngins under 25.

Good LORD, I remember the day I hit 25 and my auto insurance went down by 50% (no joke) to like $79/month. I liked to died!
