I say the same damn thing. This car doesn't need HORSEPOWER!!! I would rather them add 50 lb ft/0 extra hp over 50 hp/5 extra tq anyday.

My point with comparing the Gen Coupe with the Camry is that both are merely marketing ploys, whether it's the RWD in the Gen Coupe or the bodykit on the Camry, to get people like you to think that they are driving something special. Sorry to derail this thread. |

![]() I never lusted after that shit you drive bro(If I was to win a S2000 it would go toward a 370Z Sport or a 2008 Cayman S). Don't flatter yourself. My favorite Honda product is the NSX and nothing else that Honda makes. Honda's is overrated and only good for reliable transportation |

Agreed, I have been able to drive both an Automatic FR-S and manual FR-S and, while there were things I really liked about the car over other cars in this price class, it was extremely underwhelming for me for power. Especially for torque, and especially the automatic. A factory turbo or supercharger, larger tires, and a few more ameneities in the interior (I can't live without audio and bluetooth controls on the steering wheel) and I would be all over this car.

Yeah I don't believe in going aftermarket turbo on a N/A engine from the factory. I want the manufactured tested engine with a long warranty. That's why when people say "well you can go the aftermarket route with the FRS/BRZ if the engine isn't to your taste" I just ignore them.

If for some reason they decide to increase the power without forced induction, I'll be very disappointed. I mean, increased power is always good, but I really think a small twin-scroll turbo would be perfect on these engines. There would be virtually no lag and plenty of low-end torque. I'd actually be disappointed if they decided to use a supercharger, although that would also provide great low-end torque. As you can probably tell, I'm a BIG fan of turbochargers. |

I have the FR-S and I wanted to weigh in on the interior. This is a place where Toyota and Subaru cut some corners. I don't know that it can be justified by the price though. Even the Tc has a better quality interior and don't get me started on a golf. But if saving a few pennies helped get this car off the ground then I'm all for it. Honestly I don't stare at the cheap ac controls enough to notice.
If you want a lot more power then just get a Z. If you want the most fun for your dollar this car could be it. Heck I got some major sideways action at under. 30mph the other day. I haven't done that since I had my first image, a 99, and new miatas have lost a lot of the original spirit these days. |
