BRZ, MS3 or Genesis Coupe?

I don't know which one to get... I'm having trouble finding a BRZ around me. All of the BRZs I found were out of state and required me to fly all the way to the dealerships to do paperwork or was overpriced :sigh:

edit: decided to go with a FRS even though its not even on the poll :p

FR-S

I'd love to get a FRS but the interior felt so cheap. I thought the sun visor was going to snap off if I used a little bit more force. There's a black FRS next to me for 25,005 if I change my mind but I plan on keeping the car forever. I don't want to risk buying it only to find out the interior tears apart within a year or two... :(

You do realize this is a Toyota 86 forum, right? You already know what the result of the poll is going to be.

Im pretty sure the BRZ and FRS sun visors are the same, even if they aren't the only difference between the two cars interiors is basically colors and layout, if the FR-S interiors start falling apart im pretty sure the BRZ will to, however I dont see that happening with either.

Also you are on the wrong forum to put a poll like this, most if not all votes will be for the twins.

I honestly enjoyed my test drive in the Genesis Coupe, and it has a FAR superior interior to both the FRS/BRZ.

However, it is a almost the size of a Mustang, lacks real sporty performance and relies on the turbo to get things going. Stick shift is lacking as well. I did like the space, layout and leather though. Felt like a great daily driver.

I settled on the FR-S since I wanted it to be a hobby car eventually and it looks sexier.

Drive em all (if you can't find a BRZ, test-drive an FR-S). Buy the one you like best.

Although I personally think you've excluded three of the better cars in this price range, namely the Mustang GT, Miata, and Focus ST.

I voted Gen Coupe because I think it's stupid you're asking this question here :).

I take back my FR-S recommendation. This is not the right car for someone worried about the structural integrity of the sun visors...seriously. You'd never survive the first 24 hours with all the chirping, rattling and wonky idle...it would drive you to a nervous breakdown...Good luck!

You realize it's a $25,000 sports car and not an Audi, right? The interior will reflect that. You're driving a Kia Optima now? How could that car possibly feel any better, interior-wise?

That being said, the FR-S is every bit as good as the BRZ, it just lacks HID headlamps and a navigation system. It costs less money as a result, and the car is an instant classic. Oh, and it drives better than most anything I've ever driven. If you can't get a BRZ (you could ship one down from New England, we have 60 on the ground across the 6 states), get the FR-S!

Do you really want the tank that is the Gen Coupe? Or the monstrous torque steer and boy racer rep that is the MS3? Come on now. If you're going to go Mazda at least get the MX-5. Hyundai well, they have a long way to go with all their models, not just the Genesis Coupe.

I'm still trying to figure out what people find lacking with the FR-S interior. The seats are wonderful... I actually don't feel compelled to buy Recaros for this car. The interior is pretty without being extravagant. It's a minimalist sports car and it's perfect IMO. Also, I have not had the slightest of issues with my FR-S and I'm in the very vast majority.

If you don't care about the experience of driving an absolutely superb sports car then buy one of the others from your list... or any other vehicle mentioned. The only other one suggested that can do what this car does is an MX-5 (which I've also previously owned and I'd easily pick an FR-S again over that car as well).

Fyi... Scion's are pure price vehicles...no markup! Plan B is worth the holdout. Good luck!

i got the optima because of family and room but i moved away and im not going to have any babies anytime soon. some crazy lady smashed my car and totaled it so no im not driving it. you just mentioned the biggest negatives I have about the other cars minus the smiley the MS3 has going on. im leaning towards the BRZ though because of the crazy handling and the navi. i DO get lost sometimes down here because im still pretty new to the places down here just so you guys know lol (which is why i want the BRZ over the FRS.)
