i tend to open both windows at the same time when i ever decide to roll my windows down while driving, and the passenger window does not respond to the auto-rolldown very well. most of the times it'll roll down partially until i have let go of the switch. however, i noticed that it will work properly if i press down harder on the passenger side switch. so eh

I had the driver side switch changed as well, but the problem still persisted. It was a bit better but the lag was still there. Technician said, "Seems like thats how it is..."

I found out just today that I can't even roll down my passenger window anymore with the switch on the drivers door. And also when i open my door the window goes down abit and when you close the door the windows goes up again. My driver side window has decided to stay down and not come up when closing the door!!
Anyone noticed this?!

Roll them half way down then all the way up and hold for 10 sec after it will reset them. Do it from the driver door and the passenger door

Roll your window down about halfway, roll it back up and hold the switch in the up position for about 10 seconds. That should reset the system and re-enable your auto up/down feature. I had the same thing happen to me after this year's first freeze .

Sorry, haven't kept up with this thread. Has there been a resolution? Something we have to go into a dealership for? Or something we can do on our own?

Took my car in to the dealership for this repair, plus a couple of other small things. The service writer just called me that the tech has determined that everything is working as it should be and there is no problem. He also told me that I should not be trying to raise or lower both windows at the same time. When I protested, he mentioned that his wife had a car with auto/up down windows and she never tried to open or close both windows simultaneously. WTF!?!
I just read through every page of this topic and it appears that this is a system design flaw and the few people who have had their switches replaced have still suffered the same exact problem afterwards. I'm just gonna wait for a solution to this, for now it appears that there is not one. The funny thing is, it could just as easily be an issue with the driver's switch being TOO sensitive, right?

I'm glad I'm not the only one that found this one. I also noticed that if I hit the driver window first, then the passenger window, it'll auto-roll down. No problems with the auto roll up

The issue is just that the two switches don't have equal sensitivity. You use the driver's window more often than the passenger window so your finger gets trained to exactly the amount of time needed to operate the auto feature. Then, when you want to use both windows you don't consciously think about the amount of time needed, your fingers use muscle memory to flick the switch... then your brain yells at you in anger because you are stupid, stupid, stupid! (sigh)
