What i am saying is, just cause it's "JDM" doesn't make it great, probably is made in China.. You are paying a premium for something cause people put stickers on their car advertising for these companys.

You do have the choice, go buy your big name JDM brands that charge a premium for the same product you can buy elsewhere.
Whos saying everything JDM is great? And FYI a lot of the big names like HKS don't outsource to China. Not saying all JDM shops don't but stateside shops are in the same boat.

Some people like me prefer the big name brands like Toda because they are known to make high quality stuff, just like I'm willing to spend a premium on Perrin products over some eBay junk. High quality stuff from Japan comes at a premium, especially since the dollar to yen is terrible right now.

$700 is too much bloody money for three pulleys and a belt. I don't care if they're machined by hand by Yoshihiko Noda the Prime Minister of Japan, they do the same job as a $250 pulley kit made in the U.S. by a reputable manufacturer. Toda makes a great product no doubt but they are insanely overpriced to get here in the U.S., due in no small part to the exchange rate. The extra $450 you spend is just so you can put a Toda sticker on your car.

Link to $250 kit? I've never seen one for this car.

I don't think it's so much the parts that annoy him, but that people feel the need to put a "roll call" of stickers on their nonsponsored cars.

Does their crank pulley act as a harmonic damper?

It was just an example based on what the same parts cost for the Toyota 4A-G from Techno Toy Tuning. Give 'em a call - maybe they'll get on some R&D for the FA20!

You want a nice single exhaust .. get the T1R 70R. It's fantastic.

Not a fan of T1R or AJracing in general.. would never again spend money on a T1R product. Probably the worst customer service I have ever dealt with.. worse than AT&T.. and that says a lot.

haha... AT&T. I sell their competitor's products and their customer service makes my job easy. it seems that lightweight pulleys (aside from the crank) all around would be pretty good if someone domestic could pump them out for a decent price

You're gonna have to be more specific. I have dealt with these guys as both a customer and a retailer of their product.. and I have nothing but praise for them.

You're also sabotaging yourself if you turn down an awesome product because you're butt-hurt over something.

i dealt with them for products on my 8th gen. specifically coilovers. never resolved my issue, i got so fed up after months of emails and no action that i just binned them.

if you are a retailer, i would expect youd be worried about calling a person who could be a potential customer "butt-hurt".
im not butt-hurt. i just would never support that company due to product and service.
...not to mention AJracing produced and sold fake products under the J's Racing name.
Just bad business. Not a fan.
