TODA lightweight pulley kit

I noticed TODA came out with a pulley kit for our FRS/BRZ. Out of my price range but it's great to know TODA is tinkering with our FRS/BRZ.

Yeah the pricing I saw on it was around $700 for the kit, but it looks nice.

Having a TODA sticker in the roll call would be pretty sweet

Wow. So if Hyundai makes a similar car that was the same price or cheaper and made more power, would that make us "knobs?"

No.

It's called freedom of CHOICE. You exercise that everyday of your life, so why can't others do the same without you labeling them?

That comment makes you sound like a knob. Judging people off the things they buy and what brands they put on their cars?

Did i say cheaper with more power?

Use your brain, Toda make 3 pullys and charge $650-700
a Perrin pulley is around $100 (times that by 3, add in a $50 belt = $350)

are you calling Perrin a budget brand that make things cheap?

You can go buy a HKS exhaust, or you can go buy a Nameless one for quite a lot less, produces the same, maybe more power. is Nameless a cheap brand?

What i am saying is, just cause it's "JDM" doesn't make it great, probably is made in China.. You are paying a premium for something cause people put stickers on their car advertising for these companys.

You do have the choice, go buy your big name JDM brands that charge a premium for the same product you can buy elsewhere.

Of course you are paying a little more for both "JDM" and the TODA name but they are also selling a system of pulleys as opposed to just a single crank pulley. It seems like they have done a bit of research into how one pulley might affect the others, hence the new belt. Or maybe not.

Either way, buy it or don't buy it, but it's silly to call someone stupid and/or to avoid them entirely based on them spending more money than you could or wanted to spend on a part.

If you look at my Post history I'm the first ONE to call Vendors out for being too pricey..

Let me say this... From what I've seen, TODA has the BEST looking pulley as far as clean machining and exellent looking finish. I would expect a single TODA pulley to be 50% more then Perrin given that TODA is JDM, and it looks like a higher quality. So 110 for the Perrin pully.. 155, would be acceptable for the TODA..

So 155x3= $465 so.. YES its a bit priceier then I would buy... but we haven't even talked about what it offers.. Is it offering a much better feel? If no... then the product is FAIL.. and nobody should buy it.. well only those "knobs" you were talking about..

However if I can tell a noticable difference in this VS a Perrin pulley.. I would say its worth it..

I just think it would LOOK really nice on a Firestorm Red.. which i happen to have..

But seriously... EVERY one of those pulleys should be replaced with those looking pulleys... and that would be Hot Sauce..
